Spaghetti al limone requires only a handful of simple ingredients, allowing the flavors to shine through. Less is more in this pasta dish and that is what makes this pasta so delicious. It’s the perfect dish when you need a quick recipe, and the flavors encapsulate the Amalfi Coast in the summer.

Simple Ingredients:

The key ingredient in this pasta, of course, is the lemon. The zest of the lemon is what gives the dish its distinctive tangy flavor. In order to achieve the perfect balance of flavors in Spaghetti al Limone, you need to use high-quality butter and Parmesan cheese. The butter adds a rich and creamy texture to the dish, while the Parmesan cheese adds a nutty and savory element. It is crucial to use freshly grated Parmesan cheese, as pre-packaged grated cheese can lack the same depth of flavor.

This recipe is a great one to have on hand for when you’re in a pinch but still want something delicious! You probably even have all the ingredients on hand. Here is your grocery list:

From Italy to Your Plate:

Recreating the authentic Spaghetti al Limone experience in your own kitchen is easier than you might think.

Start by cooking the spaghetti until al dente, reserving some of the pasta water. In a separate pan, melt butter over low heat and add the lemon zest and juice, allowing it to infuse the butter with its citrusy aroma. Once the butter is melted and the lemon zest is fragrant, add garlic. When garlic is fragrant, add a splash of the reserved pasta water to create a creamy sauce. Toss the cooked spaghetti in the sauce, adding more pasta water if needed to achieve the desired consistency. Finish off the dish by sprinkling freshly grated Parmesan cheese, pepper, and lemon zest over the top.

Elevate Your Pasta Game:

Spaghetti al Limone is a dish that can elevate your pasta game to new heights. Its vibrant flavors and refreshing taste make it a perfect choice for a light and satisfying meal. The zesty lemon flavors cut through the richness of the butter and cheese, creating a burst of citrus with every bite. This dish is not only delicious but also versatile, as it can be enjoyed as a main course or as a side dish alongside grilled fish or roasted vegetables.
